What is reflexology?

Reflexology practitioners apply alternating and firm pressure with their hands to stimulate physiological changes in the body. An integrative health practice, reflexology maps a reflection of the body predominantly on the feet, hands, and outer ears. It uses manual techniques to deliver pressure to neural pathways, assisting the body to function optimally.

Why I care About
Reflexology

Connecting with clients

Helping clients to improve and sustain their mobility and overall energy is the heart and ‘sole’ of my reflexology practice.

Teaching the techniques

Instructing my students with hands-on courses to refine their own reflexology techniques is fun and rewarding.

What My Clients + Students say

My heel pain came on without warning! Not wanting to have a steroid injection as was suggested to me, I went to Amy for help. She worked with me, asked questions and listened to the answers. She worked with my feet, gave me simple exercises to do and now I’m back to being able to walk without pain and wear all my favorite shoes again! I would recommend her to everyone.

Investing in the Integrative Reflexology coursework series with Amy has been life-changing. Amy teaches in a way that is easily understood and put into practice. Integrative Reflexology differs from traditional methods by combining reflexology and meridian work. The various protocols have made a notable impact on my clients with anxiety, plantar fasciitis, and neuropathy.

Completing the 300+ hours and working towards my Certified Registered Reflexologist credential enables me to have confidence in my work and to gain the trust of my clients.

Amy is an experienced professional. She provided relief of my plantar fasciitis that a podiatrist could not! Trust her to have your back.

At age 47, I started to notice very painful feet at the end of the day.  I work on my feet all day everyday so ignoring the pain was not an option. First stop was the Good Feet Store – all I received there was a sales pitch for $1200 worth of orthotics.  Next stop was an orthopedic practice and the pitch there was a cortisone shot, which I tried with no success.  As a last resort based on a recommendation from a friend, I went to see Amy at The Footbridge and she actually explained what was happening and why. After a few sessions I started to see real results.  I now see her once a month and continue to be pain free!

I always look forward to my sessions with Amy. She helps me maintain my energy level so I can stick to my training schedule.

I decided to start reflexology with Amy while I was pregnant to deal with aches and pains. I loved the way I felt after every session! My lower back and hips felt looser and much more comfortable after an hour with Amy.

The closer I got to my due date, the closer the sessions became and they provided a lot of relief for me.  I also scheduled post-natal sessions to help my body relax and recover.

After taking a beginning course in Reflexology I was searching for a comprehensive program to continue towards certification. I am so blessed I found the Footbridge and Amy! Amy teaches reflexology holistically. She is extremely knowledgeable in technique and anatomy but also incorporates the importance of caring and being present. Amy has the skill to teach at a level that matches the need and curiosity of her students. I appreciate Amy’s wisdom and enthusiasm for the subject, as well as her fun and genuine personality.

Stacy V. | Certification-track Student

Amy is such a blessing! I came to Amy with some very painful feet, Amy assessed the problem and after a few sessions I am virtually pain free! Can’t say enough about Amy’s  compassion and understanding of the situation.

T.C. | Client for 8 month

I was desperate. My feet were killing me. I had been told that the pain was caused by arthritis and there was no “cure” available. Nothing seemed to help until a friend told me about Amy and The Foot Bridge.

I committed to giving reflexology a try. It was painful in the beginning, but after 8 weeks I can honestly say that my feet feel so much better. I’ve learned a lot about stretching and exercises that keep the pain to a minimum. I am a happy camper!
